To provide parents and caregivers with practical, evidence-based strategies and tools they can implement to increase awareness, foster empathy, and teach practical strategies that ensure safety, inclusion, and comfort.
Communication
To equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and awareness necessary to communicate respectfully, clearly, and effectively with individuals who have neurodevelopmental differences, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and others.
Navigating Legal Guardianship
To equip participants with the information of foundational concepts of legal guardianship, including its role in decision-making for individuals who lack capacity. Participants will also be able to identify key legal standards for determining incapacity, recognize the rights retained by individuals under guardianship, and evaluate less restrictive alternatives to guardianship that promote autonomy and dignity.
Healthy Boundaries
To equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify, establish, communicate, and maintain healthy boundaries in their personal and professional lives.
